December 2012 ACIMblog bulletin

ACIMblog bulletin for December 2012:

MatrixUniverse

Is the universe a humungous virtual simulation?

Thanks to Marisa C., who alerted me to a very interesting article that appeared in Yahoo News this week entitled “Whoa: Physicists testing to see if universe is a computer simulation”. I say, full speed ahead instead of whoa, though! 🙂 Here is a comment I posted to my FaceBook page in response a few days ago: Uh-oh, they’re going to trace the simulation back to my mind… Where do I pull the plug? 🙂 … and another comment: I think the critical component in the test will be development of a technology that tests for causality from unconscious guilt, projected as matter, energy, space and time. As the “The Dreamer of the Dream” section in Chap. 27 of the text (Paragraph 6, sentence 3) suggests: “Of one thing you were sure: Of all the many causes you perceived as bringing pain and suffering to you, your guilt was not among them.” … So as long as science looks elsewhere, the search might seem to continue a LONG time. 🙂

New “Ken and Ken” Interview … and videos

Here’s a wonderful new “Ken and Ken” interview (Kenneth Bok interviewing Kenneth Wapnick); check it out! It’s actually on the ACIMExplained YouTube (video) channel. I think my favorite comment was right at the wrap up to not take anything specific seriously… and to be kind, of course. 🙂

Speaking of “Ken videos”, I’ve added video feeds (to show the latest videos) from both FACIM (Foundation for A Course In Miracles) and ACIMexplained (Kenneth Bok’s ACIM interview series) to the upper right-hand corner of ACIMblog. If you’re as big a fan of both of these video series as I am, you now can find the most recent one from each easily, along with links to any of the others in these prodigious series you might have missed.

Upcoming Interviews / Webcasts / Videos / Meetings / Conferences / Presentations

More online ACIM study groups and presentations via Google+ Hangouts

Kenneth Bok, José Lorenzo Rodríguez, Michael Ordoña, Maureen Muldoon, several others (including a new group forming in Germany) and myself have been collaborating and expanding online (Google+) ACIM Hangout study groups and meetings; here’s a link to the ACIMExplained YouTube Channel (which has LOTS of wonderful videos) including weekly Saturday presentations/meetings. Enjoy, and join in if you feel inspired to share in the fun. Check back in early 2013 on the calendar of upcoming online ACIM Hangouts for new events to participate ‘live’ in, and/or watch later.

Recent Radio/Webcast Interviews/Podcasts/Videos

I’ve been updating the GeometryCode Events page with upcoming, ongoing, and past radio and internet interviews, presentations, and more. (The majority of the content I share in these events is about non-dual metaphysics, and becoming ever more so.)
Among the recent past interviews I’ve participated in (with free audio archives online that you can listen to) are:

… and many more on the Events page.
I always enjoy talking about the non-dual Metaphysics, Psychology, Symbolism, Philosophy and more contained within the book “The Geometry Code: Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws Within Us; Friendly Reminders of Inclusion to Forgive the Dreamer of Separation” which is available here.

Kindle edition of The Geometry Code now available!

The Kindle version of the book The Geometry Code: Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws Within Us; Friendly Reminders of Inclusion to Forgive the Dreamer of Separation is now available. Many thanks to all who have encouraged me to complete it, and all your support … so very appreciated! 🙂 BTW, if you prefer a ‘treeware’ (paperback) version, you can order it here. Here are abundant details about the book – which really IS an ACIM-studies book, despite the prominent appearance of the word ‘geometry’ in the title.
Just an FYI, even if you don’t have a Kindle, there are lots of other platforms you can read the Kindle version (or any Kindle book) on, including smartphones such as iPhone and iTouch, Android, Windows Phone 7, Blackberry, Windows and Macintosh computers, and tablets like iPad and Android tablet. Enjoy! 🙂

While we’re on the subject of ACIM-related books, videos, audios, Kindle and other media, I’ve recently added lots of new ACIM titles on the Amazon ACIMblog Favorites page and will keep adding more. If there are books, videos, audios or Kindle selections you recommend, but don’t see here, please let me know what you find truly helpful so I can add them to the lists.

Miracles In The Mountains Conference: Cañon City, CO Oct 12-14, 2012

A few weekends ago, I attended – and very much enjoyed! – the Miracles In The Mountains (MITM) Conference; where I had the pleasure of meeting many new fellow ACIM students (many of whom I only had ‘met’ on FaceBook), scribes, and teachers – we’re all teaching one thought system or the other 24/7/365 aren’t we! – such as Brent Haskell (see the 7 new articles above!), Scott Kalechstein Grace and Larry Seyer, (and re-connecting in ‘person’ with a handful of long-time ones, like Gary Renard, Cindy Lora Renard and Regina Dawn Akers); I posted a few photos on the MITM and my personal FaceBook pages. Giddyup Mikey & I even got to have lunch with Dave Van Dyke before the conference, which was attended by close to 200 enthusiastic students of ACIM.

Doug Sparks classes in Boulder, CO, and recent audio online

Doug Sparks is a long time student of Kenneth Wapnick and an excellent, kind-hearted teacher. There’s still room in his Tuesday morning classes in Boulder, Colorado which started last week. Here is a syllabus of new classes by Doug Sparks in Boulder, Colorado on Tuesday mornings with a link to the audio from “A Garden Ephipany”.

Wed. ACIM/DU online study group now a Google+ Hangout

For almost a year, I’ve been ‘skype-ing in’ to the Wed. evening ACIM/DU study group I started in southern Oregon (thanks to Dan & Terry Miller!) and now we have regular attendees from 3 states. It’s a joy to be able to continue the friendship and deepening of understanding and sharing about our revelations about our practice of forgiveness, kindness and non-dual amusement/amazement. 🙂 So, I’m further enthused about the prospects of extending that capability among different groups around the planet. We get to play ‘pioneers’ in rediscovering how to reflect the connection, wholeness and sameness we never left. 🙂 Since we also just switched to the google+ hangout format, let us know if you’d like to join in these always-fun conversations. These video connections are a great complement to the audio-only programs such as ACIM Gather, which Dov Fishman does a great job hosting. Details about my weekly Friday program (amid the enjoyable 24/7 line up) are below.

More online study groups via Google+ Hangouts

Kenneth Bok, José Lorenzo Rodríguez, Michael Ordoña, several others and myself have been collaborating around more online study groups; here’s an announcement by José about his new group (every Thursday, 8pm Danish time, since he’s currently in Copenhagen.)

Excellent ACIM documentary

If you haven’t already seen it (or even if you have and want to enjoy it again, here’s a superb ACIM documentary by Leap Ventures and Ike Allen. If you want a DVD, it’s available on Amazon.

A vintage video: Krishnamurti – Is Belief Necessary? (1970)

Thanks to our wonderful FaceBook community for alerting me to a a superb vintage video: Krishnamurti – Is Belief Necessary? (1970). I recall reading a book by Krishnamurti while backpacking in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains in the early 1970’s, being wowed by the profound depths of the insights… and now they seem deeper than ever. 🙂

Mental Telepathy – article by Dan Rosey

Here’s another new article titled Mental Telepathy by Dan Rosey on his ACIM+NLP+Chakras website. Here’s how the article starts: “The ability to communicate, without physical means, demonstrates the unseverable inter-connectedness between us all. This wholeness is a major theme in ACIM.” Dan usually joins us on Wed. evenings via skype (now google+ hangout) on our weekly multi-state study group from 7-9PM Pacific Time.

ACIM Gather program continues on Friday afternoons

My ACIM Gather program (formerly on Tuesday evenings) is now on Friday afternoons. After reading Kenneth Wapnick’s brilliant Journey Through The Workbook of ACIM some months ago, I recently started reading his similarly outstanding Journey Through The Manual (JTTM) of ACIM. I have also recently started sharing some brief quotes (mostly from my daily reading of this book) on my frequent FaceBook status updates and recent tweets on Twitter. You can see a few of the most recent tweets in the right-hand sidebar on each page of this site. I’ve shared online on ACIM Gather for several weeks now (with super support from Dov Fishman)… It’s lots of fun. Please join in the conversation when you can on Fridays from 1:30-2 PM Mountain Time. To listen to ACIM Gather on Paltalk Express (and optionally participate interactively), create a free Paltalk Express account, then login, search for ACIM Gather, and listen to (and chat via your keyboard with if you’re interested) ACIM-related hosts 24/7. ACIM and Inception article

In August 2010, right after the movie Inception was released, I was immediately impressed with the symbolism and references to “ACIM concepts” and wrote this article: Inception and Forgiving the Dream We Made Up. I’ve seen the movie Inception at least 5 times now, most recently on the Inception DVD (which has some excellent documentary ‘bonus’ material), and more of the symbolism is evident with each viewing. Like many popular films, while not always offering the ‘solution’ to the tiny mad idea (the belief in separation), it does a superb job of detailing the insane logic of the ego’s thought system and the mechanisms by which we have chosen to deepen our dream identifications. We can use the “George Costanza” opposite method (grin) to use these insights to see our ego’s sabotage in action and undo it by applying the opposite thought system (to reach our true identity which is beyond opposites. 🙂 On Aug. 28, 2012, Kenneth Bok of ACIMexplained (who has a superb YouTube series on ACIM including an interview with me) sent me a link to an outstanding article by Michael Murray (which Kenneth helped with) on the movie Inception’s ACIM connections, and I was inspired to add a few more thoughts to complement this very insightful article. I’ve provided references to the video clips and paragraphs in the article by Murray and Bok, in case you want to refer to both at the same time. You can read the rest here…

New ACIMexplained.com ‘Google Hangouts’ / interviews with Kenneth Bok

Last weekend (8Sep2012) I had the pleasure of participating in one of Kenneth Bok’s new (google hangout) format (with multiple live videos) and Skype interviews on his superb YouTube channel about ACIM. This example (with the new format) is an ACIM Hangout with Nouk Sanchez and Carrie Triffet.
Tomorrow’s (15Sep2012) multi-participant video ‘google hangout’ with Ken will be an ACIM Hangout with Pauline Edward. It should be on Ken’s YouTube channel about ACIM shortly after that if you’re unable to join in live.

Doug Sparks classes in Boulder, CO starting Oct 2012, and recent audio online

On Sunday, August 26, 2012, Doug Sparks gave another free talk “A Garden Epiphany” and an afternoon workshop 1-4 PM “A Dream of Trees” at The Rocky Mountain Miracle Center in Denver, Colorado. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed 2 other presentations that Doug gave there; he is a long time student of Kenneth Wapnick and an excellent, kind-hearted teacher. Here’s a new article titled JC lesson by Dan Rosey on his ACIM+NLP+Chakras website. It begins with “THERE IS NO DEATH; let that sink in a minute, is that not good news? Your body will perish, get eaten by worms, but not YOU. New ACIM studies book available

The new book: The Geometry Code: Universal Symbolic Mirrors of Natural Laws Within Us; Friendly Reminders of Inclusion to Forgive the Dreamer of Separation by Bruce Rawles (with a Foreward by Gary Renard) became available on Tuesday June 5th.
Don’t let the word “Geometry” in the title scare you off! While there is a backdrop of geometric symbols in this book, they are used merely to provide outside pictorial reminders of the inward condition of choosing our shared Teacher of Kindness… or, as is often the case, gently nudge us to let go of our own hopeless yet silly dualistic notions, fantasies, special attachments and aversions. The book also draws on the ancient Hermetic Laws, which again, are used solely for the purpose of memory aids to bring to the Inclusive Spirit within to show us how our personal interpretations are never going to work, but those brought to the eternal Truth of the Being we all have in common will always restore our minds to wholeness and peace.
Learn more about the book here…

Here is the weekly ACIM Gather schedule. You can also listen to the ACIM Gather programming (LOTS of great ACIM programming 24/7!) here.

The peace of the Father – an article by Sally McKirgan

Many nondual spiritual traditions tell us life is an illusion, a dream. A Course In Miracles is a nondual teaching that says we review a journey that was over long ago. Not only is the journey over but our true identity, as spirit, resides at home in heaven and is one with God. Life in the illusion seems otherwise.
Every day we hear about disasters around the world. more….

Judgment, beliefs and healing – an article by Dave Van Dyke

To clarify: judgment can have a few different meanings. Here I am not talking about “being judgmental” (where we are deliberately tearing down someone’s self worth). I am talking about judgment as an self-bestowed ability to determine the meaning (Reality) of something – a situation, an object, an action, a conversation, etc.).
Judgment is the mechanism that has “destroyed” our awareness of oneness. Through judgment … more….

“Bruce has done a remarkable job of sharing how – by developing trust in the Inner Guide we all have in common – we can include the symbolic contents of our unconscious mind in very familiar forms, such as geometric ones. … This work is a fun and useful addition to the list of ACIM studies books. Enjoy, and awaken.”

April 2012 ACIMblog bulletin

Hi all!

ACIM Explained YouTube series with Kenneth Bok

I’ve enjoyed Kenneth Bok’s engaging online show (ACIM Explained) where he interviews ACIM luminaries, authors and does a wonderful job of sharing both the content and supporting info… Check it out! 🙂

Interview by Wendy Joy on “Bringing The Light”

I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Wendy Joy on her fun internet radio show last week; here’s an audio transcript of that podcast interview you might enjoy from her weekly “Bringing The Light” show. We talked about sacred geometry and the Hermetic Laws, but (as usual), I always seem to migrate back to our favorite topic, non-dual metaphysics. 🙂

Gary Renard workshop in Texas tomorrow

Still time (barely) to attend Gary Renard’s workshop in Wimberley Texas tomorrow! Gary will present an all day seminar in Wimberley, Texas on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Unity Church there. I like crafting ACIM-related websites. 🙂

ACIM Gather program continues on Tuesday evenings

Having completed a first pass reading of Kenneth Wapnick’s brilliant Journey Through The Workbook of ACIM some months ago, I recently started reading his similarly outstanding Journey Through The Manual (JTTM) of ACIM. I have also recently started sharing some brief quotes (mostly from my daily reading of this book) on my link to frequent FaceBook status updates and recent tweets on Twitter. You can see a few of the most recent tweets in the right-hand sidebar on each page of this site. I’ve shared online on ACIM Gather for several weeks now (with super support from Dov Fishman)… JTTM is just too good not to share! On Tuesday, March 20, 2012, I started a 1-hour show on ACIM Gather (via PalTalk Express) where I alternate between reading from JTTM (usually just getting through a few paragraphs) and musing about the readings. I’m having lots of fun. Please join in the conversation when you can on Tuesdays from 6-7 PM Mountain Time. To listen to ACIM Gather on Paltalk Express (and optionally participate interactively), create a free Paltalk Express account, then login, search for ACIM Gather, and listen to (and chat via your keyboard with if you’re interested) ACIM-related hosts 24/7. February-March 2012

Hi all! The February-March bulletin will again be short and sweet this (double) month … Where did all that illusory time go? 🙂

New ACIM Gather Program about Journey Through The Manual on Tuesday Evenings

Having completed a first pass reading of Kenneth Wapnick’s brilliant Journey Through The Workbook of ACIM some months ago, I recently started reading his similarly outstanding Journey Through The Manual (JTTM) of ACIM. I have also recently started sharing some brief quotes (mostly from my daily reading of this book) on my link to frequent FaceBook status updates and recent tweets on Twitter. You can see a few of the most recent tweets in the right-hand sidebar on each page of this site.

JTTM is just too good not to share! So … On Tuesday, March 20, 2012, I started a 1-hour show on ACIM Gather (via PalTalk Express) where I alternate between reading from JTTM and musing about the readings. I’m having lots of fun already after just 2 programs. Here is the weekly ACIM Gather schedule. You can also listen to the ACIM Gather programming here.

Again this month I’ve added to the Resources page, including the links noted above for ACIM Gather, plus a few more. I’m really enjoying the community of kindred ACIM students; the thoughtful sharing, kind feedback and abundant helpfulness is a great symbolic metaphor of our undoing of imaginary projected separation and duality.

Gary Renard fans take note! Gary will present an all day seminar in Wimberley, Texas on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Unity Church there. While you’re perusing the details of this (and other ACIM-related events, check out Kathy Scott Perry’s new MiraclePromotions.com website, which I had the pleasure of assisting with, including a new WordPress upgrade and a customized StudioPress theme.
